TwiCon 2009 - the convention to be at! It is going to be in Dallas and I am soooo there. My sister and I are all set to go. We’re reserving our tickets, reserving the hotel and then next year we’ll buy our plane tickets. I am so excited.
Technically it’s going to be my last hurrah before we have another baby, so the husband can’t really say too much. I never go anywhere (besides my upcoming trip to WV later this month). After we have another kiddo, I’ll be at home for another 6 or 7 years.
It really sounds as if this will be an awesome event! I can’t wait……

What is it with people not knowing how to drive? How hard is it to move into the middle of the straight when making a left turn??? GRRRR.
Aside from that (yes, my morning was rough!) it’s a beautiful fall day out. It’s a brisk 61°F out right now. Totally fall.
This afternoon I’m hitting the front yard and making it all fall-y and Halloween-y. Woot!
And I am so excited for our fall trip! A few chicas and I are heading to West Virginia at the end of the month to enjoy some leaf peeping and catching up. A real, honest to god girls weekend! Holy crow. So excited!
No commentsFall is the fuel for my addiction…
I love fall. I love the smells, the cool mornings and evenings, apple picking, pumpkin picking, comfort foods, colors and the coziness of it.
So keeping with that theme, I bought *the* cutest felted sweater cell phone holder from Etsy.com.
It’s made from an old Ambercrombie sweater. How cool is that?! LOL So fall-y.
Today I put most of my Halloween decorations up. Got a bunch more to do along with the outside lights. Yay. ;) Got my mums and kale so I just have to decided how I want them and then that will be done.
Hopefully I’ll have it all done by the weekend!
1 commentUgh. What gives?
I don’t get it. I just don’t.
Why can’t some women stand up to their husbands? What is this “rule” that says the husband is always right? Even about things he has no clue about?
Case in point. If your baby — brand new baby — is sick, do you listen to your husband who tells you to let him cry OR do you do what you feel is needed to be done? I’m all for working together, but I would NEVER listen to ANY man (or any ONE) who is not allowing me to do what I need for MY child. Father or no father.
Bleh. I just don’t get it. I wouldn’t say I’m a mean person, or that I don’t listen/consider what my husband says, but I would never bow to him and allow him to be in charge of me, of my life. What the frack?
We have a nice two way street. I don’t keep him from doing things he wants to do and he doesn’t keep me from doing things I want to do. If I don’t agree with something he says and I feel THAT adamant about it, I’ll still do what I want. Of course after yes’ing him to death. ![]()
Phew, it is hot.
It is disgustingly hot out. We’ve had nice, breezy, bearable weather the past week or so. But today, today is 91 right now. Yuck. And here I thought I was going to save on my electric bill. No such luck.
We got great news yesterday — the husband has not one shred of evidence of any tumors or cancer. So now we just set up the game plan for the lumps that could be anything from lymphnodes to cysts.
The wedding is in a week and 5 days. I’ve got just about everything I need. Borrowing a black bag from one of my sisters and then I’m all set. I still have to shorten the straps a bit — don’t want the girls falling out while at the reception. Would so not be good. Although, I am just planning on sitting at the bar and watching all the fights that are bound to happen. Would it be wrong of me to say that I would be disappointed if everything went smoothly?
Right now I’m in the middle of reading Eclipse for the 4th? 5th? time. I know, I have a sickness. But it’s like it’s one big novel and you can’t read the first one without reading the second one and so forth. But then when you get to the end of the saga, you want more. So you read them again. I actually was able to grab the Borders’ exclusive Twilight movie calendar. Woo Hoo!
Can’t wait to hang it on my wall! And to continue on with the obsession, I bought the Twilight: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion as well as The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide (Twilight Saga). Like I said, I know I have a sickness.
So for the rest of the day, I’ll finish Eclipse, clean out my emails (getting ready for Office 2007 - arriving Tuesday, woo hoo!) and computer — then relax while watching True Blood.
