Let me just say - wow. When we got there (in the pouring rain!) it was mobbed. There had to be about 50 sales people on the floor. The store was packed. They truly had beautiful furniture at great prices. We knew the set we were going in for, so our sales rep (who greeted us at the front door, lol) showed us right to it. It was perfect. It came in a bunch of colors (which would take 4-6 weeks) but luckily the color we liked (sage) was available in 3-4 days. We saw another couch (cheap) for the playroom that turns into a full size bed (or you can do twin, queen king, but fill fits better). We’ll be adding that to the order if we can measure before delivery sets out.

I can’t believe I won’t be embarrassed to have people come over anymore! PLUS we’ll have a couch, loveseat and ottoman. Right now we have a couch and a chair. Bleh.

So after the running around with that, we hit up Costco where I got a cute wrought iron coffee cup holder with 6 coffee cups. Yay. Can never have too many coffee cups.

The low point of the day was when I went to the dermatologist this morning. I’ve been having an issue with a tiny cyst on my outer ear cartilage. It kills me with pain with the slightest touch. I’ve had it injected once before, but it still hurts. Well, it turns out it’s not a cyst, but something or other that is inflammation of the ear cartilage. AND — it’s rare (very rare, as in they never see it) in someone under the age of 50. I’m 30! Can you imagine what I’ll be like at 50?! I was really upset with this. I can’t remember what they called it so I can’t look it up (and really, I tried, but lots of icky things came up — none of which is what I have). I have to go back on the 13th of December and if it’s not better, they may have to remove it. Uhm, I don’t want to even KNOW what that entails because really - how do you remove something on cartilage without removing cartilage? And I don’t have big ears either, so there isn’t much to take away!

Sigh. Ok. Enough whining. I suppose it could be a ton worse. I suppose.

I know I’m not ready for another one *just* yet, but man, the ovaries are twitching.  The idea of another little one.  To enjoy all the firsts all over again.  The joy at the first smile, the first giggle, the first word.

I dare not mention this to the husband though.  He wants one right now.  And I just can’t handle that at the moment.  The kiddo is just too much at the moment.  He’s finally getting on his own in school and doing really well.  I figure another year and he’ll be good and another little one will be ok.

Ok.  So back to the point of the post and the whole “decent people” thing.  I belong to a website for Twilight Fans.  One of the members saw that I posted about having such a hard time about locating the magazine and offered to pick me up a copy at her Borders and ship it my way!!!  WOO HOO!  That is so nice of her.  I’ve never spoken to her before.  A total, complete stranger.  She has really made an impression on me since I’ve been feeling like everyone and there mother are only out for themselves.  So here’s to one terrific gal and the Twilight men!

Did you ever have so much to do that you just didn’t know where to start?  Yep - that’s me today.  Not that I have to do everything today, but I have Halloween cards sitting next to me that have half addresses on them (because I need to get the addresses from my mom), bills that need to be paid before the end of the month, prescriptions that need to be mailed out (because the $^#&$^% prescription plan wants all maintenance drugs ordered through mail order), rooms to clean, goody bags to make, groceries to go buy, work to do (so, ok, that’s really scheduled so I know when to do that, but still…), friends to keep up with, Christmas gifts I need to start making and so on.  It’s enough to tire out Wonder Woman never mind little old me!  And those things aren’t even the fun things I want to do.  :(  I want to digiscrap.  I haven’t in such a long time.  The last page I made was this one:

So as you can see, I’m really on the ball here. ;)  I want to really clean out the computer and organize files, etc. (I know, could I be any geekier?).  I want to watch last weeks Grey’s Anatomy episode.  I want, I want, I want.  What I really want is more hours in the day.

Sigh.  Well, I guess I better stop writing about what needs to be done and just start somewhere.

The kiddo was not happy about going to school this AM.  He wanted to stay home because he’s going to miss me so much.  Poor thing.  I had terrible separation anxiety when I was in kindergarten.  I hated going to school.  I hated my teacher (in all fairness — she was an evil wench and people now know who you are talking about, nodding their heads solemnly in agreement, when you mention the school and your horrible kindergarten teacher) and made such a fuss about going.  Many tearful mornings, which ultimately were curbed by being “special” and having breakfast every morning at school with the vice principal.  Wonder what ever happened to him.  Nice man.

I’ve got some cleaning to do today, not that I want to.  The house is starting to get cluttered beyond recognition.  Too much darn stuff, yet, I can’t bare to part with it.  Even stuff I haven’t looked at in years — just not willing to toss it.  I really should.  And I know I should.  Just can’t get my brain to tell my hands to do it.

And on that note, I really should get a move on.  The longer I sit here, the more things I think of to look up, check out or browse.  Heh.  Wonder what life would be like if there were no internet.

The newlyweds will be there tomorrow as well. At least my in-laws will target them about the wedding.  Leaves me to dealing with the kiddo and nothing else.  Well, maybe I’ll play with their puppy.

I am also NOT looking forward to the 3 and-a-half hour trip up there.  <edited>

TwiCon 2009 - the convention to be at!  It is going to be in Dallas and I am soooo there.  My sister and I are all set to go.  We’re reserving our tickets, reserving the hotel and then next year we’ll buy our plane tickets.  I am so excited.

Technically it’s going to be my last hurrah before we have another baby, so the husband can’t really say too much.  I never go anywhere (besides my upcoming trip to WV later this month).  After we have another kiddo, I’ll be at home for another 6 or 7 years.

It really sounds as if this will be an awesome event!  I can’t wait……

Aside from that (yes, my morning was rough!) it’s a beautiful fall day out.  It’s a brisk 61°F out right now.  Totally fall.

This afternoon I’m hitting the front yard and making it all fall-y and Halloween-y.  Woot!

And I am so excited for our fall trip!  A few chicas and I are heading to West Virginia at the end of the month to enjoy some leaf peeping and catching up.  A real, honest to god girls weekend!  Holy crow.  So excited!
