Wicked Cup of Joe

End of the Month

So, we’re coming up to the end of the month. Just 9 more days of February. I can’t say I’m sad to see it go. It’s been a busy, busy month.

I turned 30. Yep. The big 3-0. And look at the purdy flowers a certain chica sent me:

Birthday Flowers

But other than the birthday, things have been low-key on my end. I’ve been running all over with Matt and his school and doctors visits. Not fun.

We are getting a puppy though! Finally convinced the husband that we need one. :) So, this Sunday the kiddo and I are going to one of those pet things at PetCo while the husband and my mom go to get the taxes done. :) Should be interesting, to say the least. But I have final say of what breed to get. :)

February Bones

Happy February.  :)

So far, the month has been “eh.”  We’re on the 5th day — two days til my 30th bday — and we’ve got a broken computer, craziness @ work, new episodes of TV shows down to zilch and 65 degree weather.  What the frak?!?!

In the meanwhile,  I am addicted to Bones.  I can’t get enough of it!  I’m fortunate to be a private beta user on Hulu.com and was able to catch up on all the episodes this season and some from the past two. (Yes, I am bummed that they all aren’t on there yet!)  Anyway, it is a great show and I am so in love with David Boreanaz.  So much so that I’ve even begun to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer!  And I’m sure I’ll move to Angel after that. LOL  I am so a TV junkie.

Tomorrow we head to the neuro and the pulmonary specialist.  Should be an interesting day — especially considering it’s suppose to be 65 degrees and RAINY.  Bleh.  Hopefully we’ll make it back home before the storm arrives that we’re suppose to get.  I love a good thunder/lightning storm, but not while I’m out driving.

And on that note — I’m ready to hit the bed.  I’ve been super busy and am completely exhausted.  Hope everyone is having a fabulously chic February thus far! :)

I Don’t Fear The Reaper

But at 13-days-til-I’m-30, I’m terrified afraid of hanging my feet or arms over the side of the bed at night.  I know, I know.  But yet each night I’ll lay in the bed and make sure that my toes don’t hang over or my elbow is on the bed with plenty of room.  I’m not afraid of any person grabbing my feet or hands — it’s more (wait for it!) about a monster or (wait for it) alligators.  Yes.  You read correctly.  I have no clue in the world where I came up with this fear or how it even makes sense to my brain.  I can lay in the bed and tell myself that the fear is ridiculous - yet - I still have to make sure the tootsies are not hanging over.

And you thought you had issues.

Happy Friday!  Cloverfield is tomorrow!  Woo Hoo!
